چکیده
Gene therapy offers the possibility to skip, repair, or silence faulty genes stimulate immune system fight against disease by delivering therapeutic nucleic acids (NAs) a patient. Compared other drugs protein treatments, NA-based therapies have advantage of being more universal approach designing because versatility NA design. NAs (siRNA, pDNA, mRNA) great potential for applications an immense number indications. However, delivery these exogenous is still challenging and requires specific system. In this context, beside non-viral vectors, cell-penetrating peptides (CPPs) gain interest as systems forming variety nanocomplexes depending on formulation conditions properties used CPPs/NAs. review, we attempt cover most important biophysical biological aspects peptide-based nanoparticles (PBNs) acid formulations The relevant peptide families PBNs in presence described since 2015 will be presented. All able deliver vitro vivo common features, which are characterized defined order obtain from 60 nm 150 with homogeneous dispersity (PdI lower than 0.3) positive charge between +10 mV +40 mV.

Recent Developments in Peptide-Based Nucleic Acid Delivery
Despite the fact that non-viral nucleic acid delivery systems are generally considered to be less efficient than viral vectors, they have gained much interest in recent years due to their superior safety profile compared to their viral counterpart. Among these synthetic vectors are cationic polymers, branched dendrimers, cationic liposomes and cell-penetrating peptides (CPPs). The latter repres...

متن کاملElectrospray Production of Nanoparticles for Drug/Nucleic Acid Delivery
Many techniques have been developed to produce nanoparticles. Among them, electrospray has attracted recent research interest because it is an elegant and versatile way to make a broad array of nanoparticles. Electrospray is a technique that uses an electric field to disperse or break up a liquid. Compared with current technologies, such as bulk mixing, high pressure homogenization and double e...
متن کاملSurface- and hydrogel-mediated delivery of nucleic acid nanoparticles.
Gene expression within a cell population can be directly altered through gene delivery approaches. Traditionally for nonviral delivery, plasmids or siRNA molecules, encoding or targeting the gene of interest, are packaged within nanoparticles. These nanoparticles are then delivered to the media surrounding cells seeded onto tissue culture plastic; this technique is termed bolus delivery. Althou...
متن کاملPeptide nucleic acid microarrays.
A fast and economical procedure for the production of peptide nucleic acid (PNA) microarrays is presented. PNA oligomers are synthesized in a fully automatic manner in 96-well plates using standard Fmoc chemistry. Subsequently, the oligomers are released from the support and spotted onto glass or silicone slides, which were activated by succinimidyl ester. This process allows for a concomitant ...
